Week 9: First radio digital draft

Craft:  I first took an image and scanned it onto the computer.  After I scanned it I began to take the box tool in photo shop and created to squares and dropped brown paint into them.  After I dropped the paint into them I made the circles for the speakers.  I used the elliptical tool to create the bigger speakers and then the smaller ones inside them.  After I created those I took the rectangular tool again and used them to make the eye brows and tuner box on top of the radios.  After that I used the lasso tool in order to create the mouths of the radios.  Finally I took the rectangular tool to create a wall between the two radios.  I finally dumped the paint that is seen in all the pictures in order to give it the color I wanted.  I ended the process by choosing the bevel and emboss fx on all the layers to give them more definition.

Composition: I separated the two radios to show the differences between the two.  The one is angry and shows how ordinary radio doesn't keep people happy anymore and on the other side I have a happy radio that shows how people are happy with change and new music.  I'm controlling the viewers eyes by using the radios towards the top and making them the biggest thing in the picture.

Concept:  The picture is of two radios that have been personified.  The personified radios show the difference between the music being played.  The happy radio shows new music being played and its an escape from the angry radio that is playing music that nobody wants to hear.
